Trusted by the Design industry

28% of our growing trade clients are marketing agencies and graphic designers, and they use our print and mailing services time and time again. If you’re a designer, why not make use of our free advice on paper stocks and specialist print finishing?

Choose from our 11 free off-the-shelf folder templates for an easy, low cost printed folder, or create your own bespoke design with custom shaped pockets. Whichever option you choose, you’re promised a professional, affordable, high quality finish.

To avoid cracking along the fold line (where you see the colour of the paper fibre beneath showing through), we recommend laminating your presentation folder. Lamination, regardless of whether it is gloss, matt or anti-scuff lamination also adds a layer of protection to keep your folders looking fabulous for longer. Talking of ‘fabulous’, why not add foil blocking, spot-gloss UV varnish, or metallic ink to announce your business in style.

If you are unsure what type of folder you require, we are here to help. Capacity folders allow you to fit more printed pages into your folder, but if you only have a few sheets then a non-capacity folder will hold your papers more securely. Self-locking pockets don’t require glue so cost less, but if you want to fit a lot into your folders then glued pockets are the better option - and don’t forget to add slits if you want to personalise your folders by inserting business cards.

Gloss lamination - gloss lamination is a timeless finish that emphasises the vibrancy of your corporate colours and images. Not only does gloss lamination look professional, it’s also durable, making it an excellent choice for your folders, as well as brochures and magazines.

Anti-scuff laminate - a must for printed document folders featuring large areas of solid, dark colour, because the plain artwork won’t hide scratches and scuffs. Anti-scuff laminate protects your folder from unwanted marks and general wear and tear to keep it looking pristine.

Foil blocking - a great way to accentuate a logo or text, add a touch of class and sophistication, foil blocking can elevate your design to add impact. Often associated with luxury brands and premium services, foil blocking is excellent at drawing attention to headline typography and generally getting your name noticed.

Metallic inks - more subtle than foil, as the name suggests, this type of ink features metal particles including copper, aluminium, bronze and/or zinc, to give a more muted, but still stunning finish.

Spot gloss UV varnish - when combined with matt lamination or anti-scuff lamination, spot gloss UV varnish can add a real wow factor to your company folder. It works by adding extra sheen to selected areas of your folder. There’s no need to confine it to your logos and straplines. In the hands of a design for print specialist you can create stunning patterns to catch the light and transform the look, depending on the angle your folder is held at.

Spot matt UV varnish - an unusual finish that is used to pick out specific words, letters or shapes against a gloss background, it offers a subtler finish, lending itself to business and corporate folder printing. An original and effective form of spot varnishing that will certainly separate you from the competition.

Soft touch laminate - subtle, memorable and luxurious, soft touch laminate is a premium finish with a velvety touch. As the name suggests, this is a soft lamination and delivers a more subtle finish than the vibrancy of gloss finishes. Be aware, however, that it doesn’t offer the same level of protection against wear and tear as other laminate coatings, but it does add a level of tactility which you may fit with your brand offering.

Embossing - Especially powerful when combined with block foiling, embossing creates the ultimate tactile experience by raising selected imagery and texts from the page. Commonly associated with quality and authority, when executed well within a design, embossing can create a stunning, lasting impression.
