Graduate Trainee Estimator (Print) - £19,000 pa + bonus

This is a rare opportunity for a recent graduate or a high achieving A-level candidate to launch their career within the estimating department of a cutting-edge and growing £26 million turnover print business. 

Working in a fast-paced environment, the role involves talking to clients and marketing agencies about options and specifications for a wide range of bespoke printed collateral. Working within a strong team, attention to detail and good internal and external communication skills are key. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. The Estimator role opens doors to other career paths within the business, such as Sales, Marketing, Production and Finance.

Key requirements:

  • Graduate (or college leaver with three strong A levels) preferably in a business discipline, although others will be considered.
  • A high level of numeracy
  • Good organisational skills - ability to prioritise, multi-task and work efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail

Experienced (Print) Estimator - Bishops Printers

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Print Estimator looking to re-establish their career, working within the Estimating department of a dynamic, cutting-edge and growing B2 litho and digital printing business.                                                                  

Ideally you will be conversant with Optimus MIS, or similar MIS systems.

Key requirements:

  • Previous estimating experience is essential.
  • Receive enquiries and complete an estimate within the required time scales.
  • High level of numeracy.
  • Liaise with production and sales teams to create a quote which is viable commercially, and financially acceptable to the client.
  • Ability to communicate adeptly in writing and verbally.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, providing accurate estimates on time
  • High standards of customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel (Optimus MIS an advantage)
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Press Operators (Heidelberg SM 10 Colour Machines)

Due to significant growth we are currently looking to fill a number of vacancies in our Print Department. Ideally we are looking to recruit experienced printers to join our Weekend Night Operators on a continental shift pattern.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a Heidelberg SM 10 Colour press, be a team player, able to work in a fast pace environment and flexible in their approach, with the ability to multi task.

Experienced Print Finishers

Are you looking for your next career move?  Are you looking for a new challenge?  Do you thrive in constantly changing, forward-thinking environments?  Are you an experienced Folding or Stitching Operator? If you've answered yes to these questions we would love to hear from you.

We're growing, improving and investing all the time and we are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and loyal individuals to join our Folding and Stitching teams.

You will have experience of one or more of the following machines - Stahl, Heidelberg and/or Wohlenberg with a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to read, understand and follow instructions.

Self-motivated, you will work well as part of a diverse technical team and you will always exhibit a positive attitude leading by example.  There will be a requirement to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods of time. 

We are looking for day and night operators with day workers working 42 hours per week on a continental shift pattern, and nights will be 48 hours per week over 4 nights.

The successful candidates will be given comprehensive training and support. There are occasional requests for flexibility and/or the opportunity for overtime.
