Sales Manager

Following a period of growth and major investment, a highly experienced office-based Sales Manager is required to lead and oversee the sales division for our leading printing organisation. As one of the largest commercial printing firms in the South of England, with a diverse range of clients and a turnover of £25.5m, the role will involve the implementation of strategic goals and objectives to ensure business growth and profitability. 

Responsible for the overall sales performance of the company, the successful candidate should be able to clearly demonstrate success in a similar role, and will be a highly driven professional who thrives on the daily challenges of achieving results through the success of their team. Responsibilities include:

  • Setting and achieving sales targets across all business divisions
  • Ensuring all KPI's are set, monitored and exceeded through training and development of staff
  • Implementing and feeding back on company marketing
  • Seeing that profit margins on estimates are achieved whilst keeping conversion rates high
  • Dealing with disputes in a timely manner for speedy and positive resolutions 
  • Working with team leaders to motivate, train and develop the sales team
  • Running weekly and monthly strategic meetings to ensure sales team success 
  • Providing and presenting accurate reports

Previous experience in a Sales Manager role with proven success of meeting sales targets is essential. The candidate will have a strong background in building and developing commercial B2B relationships and as a highly-skilled communicator, demonstrate the ability to negotiate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation. The candidate will also be experienced in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs and will be confident using CRM software as well as MS Office. Experience in a creative agency is desirable but not essential.

New Business Development Executive

Bishops Printers are looking to increase their new business turnover and as a result, are looking for outbound sales people with a B2B background to help bring new clients on board. 

An element of account management will also be expected and previous experience within a sales role is essential (however full product knowledge training will be given). The successful candidates will be required to:

  • Contact potential clients via telephone, email and LinkedIn
  • Develop these relationships to maximise revenue potential
  • Exceed all assigned KPI's and objectives 
  • Possess strong consumer and product awareness
  • Contribute towards a winning team and promote personal growth
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Be a positive and enthusiastic team member

As part of the Sales Team, candidates will be great communicators with excellent written and verbal skills as well as a good sense of humour and will be able to show impeccable levels of detail and accuracy while enjoying the challenge of a target and reward environment. The ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and to deadlines is also essential, along with good organisational skills and a self-motivated, can-do attitude. Must be experienced in using MS Word and Excel, and preferably a CRM system.

Graduate Trainee Estimator

We are looking for a Graduate Trainee Estimator to join our busy Estimating team. This exciting opportunity would be well suited for a graduate or college-leaver with three strong A levels, preferably in a business discipline (although as full training is provided, this is not essential).

Attention to detail and good communication skills are necessary to the role, as well as high level of numeracy, good organisational and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and high standards of customer service. Job requirements include:

  • Analysis of documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labour estimates
  • Evaluation of all options for producing a job and provide quotes based on the most economical method 
  • Revision of estimates as needed due to specification changes
  • Performing job cost analysis 
  • Developing knowledge of materials available and understanding of cost saving opportunities
  • Consulting with sales, vendors and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Press Operators (Heidelberg SM 10 Colour Machines)

Due to significant growth we are currently looking to fill a number of vacancies in our Print Department. Ideally we are looking to recruit experienced printers to join our Weekend Night Operators on a continental shift pattern.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a Heidelberg SM 10 Colour press, be a team player, able to work in a fast pace environment and flexible in their approach, with the ability to multi task.

Experienced Print Finishers

Are you looking for your next career move?  Are you looking for a new challenge?  Do you thrive in constantly changing, forward-thinking environments?  Are you an experienced Folding or Stitching Operator? If you've answered yes to these questions we would love to hear from you.

We're growing, improving and investing all the time and we are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and loyal individuals to join our Folding and Stitching teams.

You will have experience of one or more of the following machines - Stahl, Heidelberg and/or Wohlenberg with a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to read, understand and follow instructions.

Self-motivated, you will work well as part of a diverse technical team and you will always exhibit a positive attitude leading by example.  There will be a requirement to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods of time. 

We are looking for day and night operators with day workers working 42 hours per week on a continental shift pattern, and nights will be 48 hours per week over 4 nights.

The successful candidates will be given comprehensive training and support. There are occasional requests for flexibility and/or the opportunity for overtime.
